About this adventure

The German Christmas Market of New Jersey celebrates its 25th market from Friday, December 4 to Sunday, December 6, 2026, at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta. Modeled on a traditional German Christmas market, it fills the fairgrounds with wooden huts selling hand-crafted artisanal gifts, bratwurst and other German food, plus live choirs and festive entertainment for the whole family. Hours are 10 AM to 8 PM on Friday and Saturday and 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday. Admission is $10 for ages 13 and up and $7 for seniors 65 and older, while children 12 and under and veterans with ID get in free; online ticket pre-sales open in early November. The market is run by a nonprofit that has drawn about 30,000 visitors a year since 2001 and donates its proceeds to local charities and community causes.
