About this adventure

The Monmouth County Park System runs drop-in open gym hours at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center in Tinton Falls, its first indoor recreation building. Families can shoot hoops in the climate-controlled gymnasium, and the lobby's air hockey and ping pong tables are open during open gym too, which makes it an easy rainy-day or after-school outing. No registration is needed: pay $8 per person per day at the center (cash, check or card), or buy a $50 Fort Monmouth Activity Pass good for 10 visits. Open gym is open to all ages, but kids 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Hours change from day to day, so check the park system's Open Gym & Drop-Ins Schedule before you go; separate pickleball open play is for ages 16 and up.
