Racefaster's Santa Run moves a holiday race indoors: on Sunday, December 6, runners loop through the American Dream mall in East Rutherford before it opens to shoppers. An elite wave starts at 7:30 a.m. and the main 5K, four loops inside the building, at 8:00 a.m. At 9:00 a.m. children run a half-mile Kids Fun Run through the mall. Because it is indoors, cold or wet weather is not a problem, which makes it a practical December pick for young families. Families can stay at the mall afterward once it opens for the day.
