A live, interactive 60-minute planetarium show at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers that tours the night sky as seen locally: visible planets, bright stars, seasonal constellations, periodic comets and upcoming rocket launches. The holiday edition looks ahead to the winter solstice on December 21, when nights grow longer and new sights appear in the evening sky, and explains the astronomy behind seasonal traditions such as the Star of Bethlehem, holiday lights, wreaths and yule logs. Shows are at 2 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 27–29, over Thanksgiving weekend. The show is recommended for ages 8 and up, is separately ticketed, and advance purchase is encouraged.
