ShopRite Kidz Cook is a caregiver-and-me cooking class at the Staten Island Children's Museum that introduces children to different foods, explains basic cooking concepts and builds their skill with kitchen utensils. In this holiday edition, young chefs combine butter, sugar, milk and vanilla, then mix in flour to make festive no-bake holiday cookies. Classes start every hour at noon, 1, 2 and 3 pm on Sunday, December 6. The museum lists the age range as 4 and up. The class is free with museum admission, but space is limited, so families pick up a class ticket at the door when they arrive.
