Turtle Back Zoo Tots (Ages 2–3 with a Caregiver) — November Session

Turtle Back Zoo's early-childhood class for toddlers is a one-hour hands-on session where a 2- or 3-year-old and one grown-up explore the natural world together in the zoo's Berson Learning Center in West Orange. The fall series works through the alphabet of animals, and each class focuses on a different group such as mammals, birds, reptiles or insects, with stories, a simple project and special animal visitors in the classroom. The class is moderately structured, every child must be accompanied by an adult willing to join in, and unregistered children (siblings included) cannot attend, so plan childcare for older kids or bring them to the zoo separately. Capacity is limited and advance registration and payment are required; the fee covers the child and one caregiver, but not zoo admission. Cancellations within a week of the session are not refunded. The November class is the last of the fall sessions.
