Scientists from the Crazy Science Lab visit the Staten Island Children's Museum to show what liquid nitrogen can do. In a 45-minute demonstration they explain how this extremely cold substance, which boils at -195°C (-320°F), can freeze objects in seconds — a show the museum says will astound adults too. Shows run at 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, December 12 and 13, and are included with museum admission.
