About this adventure
The St. George Theatre's annual Christmas Show is a home-grown Staten Island holiday revue with more than 100 volunteer performers and a live orchestra. A grandmother tells her family a Christmas story that whisks the audience from the North Pole with Santa and Mrs. Claus to Times Square, Clove Lakes Park, the Copacabana Room and a Living Nativity, with an excerpt from The Nutcracker, the Richmondettes dance ensemble, and a troupe of elves, ragdolls, tumblers and bells. The production runs about two hours, so it suits school-age children best, though matinees at 2 pm make it workable for younger kids. Five performances run December 11–13, 2026; the Petrides High School choir sings before the Friday show (orchestra in the lobby at 6 pm) and the MAELS Chorus before the Sunday 2 pm show. Ticket sales support the restoration of the historic 1929 theatre; group rates are available through the box office.
