About this adventure
Raritan Valley Community College's planetarium in Branchburg presents The Christmas Star on Saturday evenings, December 12 and December 19, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The show looks at the many attempts to explain the Star of Bethlehem described in the Bible, asking whether it could have been an exploding star, a comet or another natural event in the sky, and it covers possible natural explanations along with common modern misconceptions. Like other planetarium programs, it includes a brief tour of the current night sky. The recommended age is 8 to adult. Admission is $11 per person for one show or $20 for two shows back to back, with tickets sold at the door; reservations by phone are recommended. Shows start promptly and late admission is not allowed, so plan to arrive 20 to 30 minutes early. The closest parking lots are #9 and #1.
