About this adventure
Raritan Valley Community College's planetarium in Branchburg brings back a holiday star show for December Saturday afternoons. The Alien Who Stole Christmas starts with the stars visible in the winter sky, then follows Santa on a trip through the solar system after a friendly alien kidnaps him — because the kids on the other planets need presents too. It is a story-driven way to introduce young children to the planets, with the planetarium's recommended ages of 6 to 10. Shows start promptly at 3 pm and late admission is not allowed, so the planetarium asks families to arrive 20 to 30 minutes early to buy tickets and look at the exhibits in the lobby. Tickets are sold only at the door on the day, but reservations by phone are recommended. Pair it with the 4 pm Winter Wonder Lights laser concert for the two-show price.
