New York City's 53rd annual Village Halloween Parade marches up Sixth Avenue on Halloween night, rain or shine. Everyone is invited to watch for free, and anyone in costume is welcome to join the march. The 2026 theme is "Body & Soul"; the parade will be led by "Firehorse", a new puppet performance commissioned from puppeteer Basil Twist to mark the Year of the Horse, and the Grand Marshal is performance artist Joey Arias. The organizer's watch page says the route runs straight up 6th Ave from King St to West 15th St, with the most crowded viewing between Bleecker and 14th Street. The parade is also broadcast live on Spectrum News NY1 at 8 pm. Optional paid tickets give special access (skip-the-line); the official after-parties are 21+ only and are not part of this listing.
