About this adventure
A Thanksgiving-morning tradition in downtown Edmond and one of Oklahoma's largest Thanksgiving events. Families can run or walk the 5K or take it easy on the 1 Mile Family Wobble; strollers and friendly leashed dogs are welcome, and the best turkey costume wins a prize. The race is volunteer-run, with all proceeds benefiting Turning Point Ministries. The 1-mile starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K at about 8:35. Register by noon Wednesday, Nov. 18 to get a race shirt; in-person registration and packet pickup are at Russell Dougherty Elementary School on Wednesday, Nov. 25 (3–7 p.m.) and race morning (7–7:30 a.m.).
