About this adventure

The Miles of Thanks 5K is the Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce's newest signature event, a Saturday-morning race at Central Winds Park in Winter Springs on the weekend before Thanksgiving. The chamber describes it as a morning of fitness, connection and giving back: a portion of the proceeds goes to HOPE Helps and Meals on Wheels to help provide meals for individuals and families in need during the holiday season. Besides the adult category there is a youth registration, and youth participants must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs on a leash can be registered as well. The page says registered participants receive a T-shirt and a medal, and registered dogs a racing bandana. The city calendar lists the event at the park from 7:00 am to noon; the start time of the race itself is not given there. Registration is on the race's RunSignup page, and the adult fee rises by registration date.
