The 12Ks of Christmas is a holiday-themed run staged at the Northwest Recreation Complex near the Apopka Amphitheater. Participants can run the full distance alone or split it with friends as a relay, which makes it approachable for families with teens or confident young runners who want to cover just a leg. Runners and volunteers who dress in Christmas-themed clothing are entered into a raffle, so costumes are part of the fun. Parking is through Gates 1-3 of the Northwest Recreation Complex off Jason Dwelley Parkway. The event is organized by The Oak Community, not the City of Apopka; registration, fees and race-day details come from The Oak after you sign up on their website.
