A 60-minute guided holiday tour of Glencairn, the Pitcairn family's 20th-century castle in Bryn Athyn, decorated as the family kept it from the 1940s to the 1970s: a large three-part Nativity scene and a Christmas tree that rose past the second-floor balcony. The tour climbs through five floors, including the Tower and a bedroom suite, and ends with self-guided time in the World Nativities exhibition of three-dimensional Nativity scenes from around the world. Tours start every half hour from 12:30 PM (last tour 3:00 PM on weekdays, 2:30 PM on weekends). Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students; children 4 and under and museum members are free. Expect stairs and an hour on foot, which suits school-age children best.
