About this adventure
On the first Sunday of each month, New Castle County opens Rockwood Museum, the 19th-century Gothic Revival mansion in Wilmington's Rockwood Park, for free self-guided tours from noon to 4 pm. First-time visitors can explore the house and see what has changed since their last visit, and families can pair a tour with a walk on the park's trails and gardens. A self-guided visit lets families with children set their own pace and leave when little ones are done.
