Peddler's Village

More than 100 gingerbread houses and edible scenes made by members of the public go on show in the Visitor & Event Center at Peddler's Village, a holiday tradition there since 1984. Entries are judged in several categories, including a professional division, so the display mixes home-baked builds with elaborate showpieces, and children can spend a while hunting for small candy details while the Village outside is lit with a million holiday lights. Admission is free. Strollers must be left outside the building, food and drink are not allowed and nothing may be touched, so it works best for kids who can walk through and look. Weekend lines can be long; the organizer recommends weekday or weekday-evening visits and arriving well before closing, because guests must leave the building at closing time. The display is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day and has shorter hours on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Families who wanted to build their own entry had to register by November 11, 2026.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation

Read from the Peddler's Village Events Calendar JSON feed (same-origin). The event text says the entries are on exhibit 'through January 10, 2027', but the calendar entry and the hours table end on January 9, 2027, so endDate is January 9. Separate from the existing Holly Jolly Weekend listing (Dec 5-6), which only mentions the display. Venue address is the Village address printed on the same calendar.
