Haddonfield's 9th annual Haddons Pre-Game Turkey Trot fills Crows Woods on Thanksgiving morning. The chip-timed 5K starts at 8 am, with separate registration for adults 18 and over and for kids under 18, and a one-mile fun run follows at 8:05. The overall male and female 5K winners take home turkeys, and fresh-baked pies go to age-group winners, starting with a 10-and-under category. Cider, cocoa and muffins are served at the field house. The fun run is free; the 5K costs $30 for kids and $35 for adults, and the first 550 5K registrants get a winter hat. Packets can be picked up at Haddonfield Running Company on Kings Highway East on November 24 (4 to 7 pm) and November 25 (3 to 5 pm), online registration closes November 25 at 8 pm, and race-day registration opens at 7 am. The race is organized by Teams Work for Good, a Haddonfield nonprofit.
