About this adventure

A trained volunteer from the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary brings five live Arizona reptiles — tortoises or turtles, snakes and lizards — to Century Library and talks about how each one is adapted to survive: bright warning colors, long tails and other features, plus where they live, how they behave, conservation and staying safe around reptiles. Kids can get a close look at the animals during the 45-minute program. Listed for all ages, from preschoolers to adults; free.
