At this one-hour Boyce Thompson Arboretum family workshop, children and their adults learn what a nature journal is, how to set one up, and then start their own journal during a short nature hike through the arboretum's desert gardens. A good fit for curious school-age kids who like drawing or writing. Fees are per child aged 5–17 ($10 non-member, $8 member); up to two adults per family participate free with a child, and adults must register as well.
