'Arboretum' is Latin for 'place of trees', and this December family workshop at Boyce Thompson Arboretum explores some of the trees that grow there and why trees matter to people. Each family makes and takes home its own wood-cookie ornament, a handy holiday craft. The workshop lasts one hour and is priced per child aged 5–17 ($10 non-member, $8 member), with up to two adults per family free; adults must register too.
