Fountain Hills Theater brings back A Christmas Carol: The Musical, the family holiday musical on its mainstage in the Noël Irick & Peter J. Hill Playhouse. This adaptation, with book and lyrics by Peter J. Hill and music by Jay Melberg, follows Charles Dickens's miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, who answers every Christmas with "bah humbug" until the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future visit him on Christmas Eve. The show is rated G and runs about two hours in two acts, so it suits school-age children who can sit through a full-length musical with an intermission. Evening performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, with Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm, from Friday, December 4 through Sunday, December 20. Tickets are sold through the theater's online box office or by phone at 480.837.9661 during box office hours (Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm, and one hour before each performance); group discounts are available. Ticket prices are not printed on the show page.
