Peters Township Public Library marks the 40th anniversary of the American Girl company, which began as Pleasant Company, with a two-hour holiday celebration. The evening includes trivia, snacks and crafts, followed by a showing of the film Samantha: An American Girl Holiday. The program is intended for ages 7 through adult, so it suits school-age doll fans, tweens, teens and the grown-ups who grew up with the books. It takes place on a Thursday evening in the library's Multi-Purpose Room, and registration is required.
