Watch the lighted Christmas Ships parade on the Willamette River from a vintage trolley car. The Willamette Shore Trolley runs evening excursions from its Lake Oswego depot along the river, giving riders a front-row view of the decorated boats and of holiday-lit homes along the line. Most nights have two departures, at 6:30 and 8:15 pm, for a round trip of about 1.5 hours; on Saturday, December 19, when the combined fleet sails, there is one extended 3:30 pm departure of about 2.5 hours. Tickets are online only, go on sale Tuesday, November 17 at 10 am, are non-refundable and valid only for the chosen run. Lap-sitting children and pets are not allowed, so every child needs a seat. Riders are invited to bring an unwrapped toy for Toy & Joy Makers. Check in 15 minutes before departure; parking is in lots off Foothills Road. Ship viewing depends on river conditions set by the Christmas Ships coordinator.
