About this adventure
The Placer Freedom Foundation, which raises money for veterans, active-duty military, first responders and their families, holds its 2026 Freedom Fun Run at Vernon Street Town Square in downtown Roseville on the Saturday before Veterans Day. Distances are a timed 10K (9:00 a.m.), a 5K (9:15 a.m.) and an untimed 1-mile run/walk (9:20 a.m.) that suits young children and strollers. Costumes are part of the fun, with awards for the brightest individual outfit, the best group or duo theme and a Lil' Sparkler prize for the best kids' costume. Runners can also dedicate their race to a veteran or service member and wear a tribute sticker on race day. Children 5 and under run the 5K or 10K free, ages 6–17 pay a reduced youth rate, and there is special pricing for military members and families.
