About this adventure
Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach JR. is staged by the Woodland Opera House education program with its Junior Theatre Festival troupe, so the cast is made up of young performers. The musical follows James as he escapes his miserable life with two cruel aunts and sails off inside an enormous peach with a crew of oversized insect friends, learning what home really means along the way. The JR. version is a shortened adaptation written for young casts and young audiences, which suits school-age children and families with kids who already love the book. Performances run over one December weekend in the historic downtown Woodland theater; tickets are sold on the Opera House's Arts People page.
