The Fair Oaks Performing Arts Center turns its Black Box Theater into a holiday cinema on Thursday, December 17, 2026, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. for a screening of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the live-action film starring Jim Carrey that brings Dr. Seuss's tale of the Grinch and Whoville to the screen. The Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District bills it as a whimsical holiday adventure, and it is a relaxed way to kick off winter break with kids who know the story. The district calendar does not list a ticket price or rating details; check the event's calendar entry or contact the district for admission details before going. The theater is at the district's performing arts center on California Avenue.
