About this adventure
Chabad of Elk Grove's public Hanukkah celebration on the third day of the 2026 festival (Hanukkah begins the evening of December 4). The free afternoon in Old Town Elk Grove has live entertainment and food vendors and closes with the lighting of a large public menorah as it gets dark. It is open to everyone, Jewish or not, and works well for families with children of any age who want to see a menorah lit and learn a little about the holiday's story of light. The city lists it as a single event from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.; dress for a December afternoon outdoors, and bring cash or cards for the food vendors.
