The Elk Grove Historical Society's museum and grounds are decorated for an old-fashioned Christmas on five December afternoons. Young children can decorate cookies and make ornaments, and Santa visits. Each session runs from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. It is a small, family-scale holiday outing at a historic site, a calmer alternative to the bigger city events. The fee is not stated on the city's event page.
