A messy, hands-on painting hour for kids at the Pan American Branch Library on San Antonio's South Side, scheduled during Thanksgiving week and again just before Christmas. Library staff set out a variety of painting activities so children can experiment with different materials and techniques and simply enjoy making art. Wear clothes that can get paint on them. The library recommends it for kids 5 and older, and children should come with an adult. It is a one-hour drop-in style program on Wednesday afternoons, handy for families looking for something to do while school is out for the holidays.
