A free youth football clinic from San Antonio Parks & Recreation, run with the Coach Hop Sports Academy as part of its Tackle Football Ready Series. Coaches teach fundamental, non-padded football technique — the skills that help a flag-football player get ready for tackle football — to athletes of all experience levels, with an emphasis on building confidence and preparation. It is for ages 6–13 and takes place on the softball fields at Lackland Terrace Park on the West Side, 10:30 am to noon on Saturday, November 7. The clinic is free but registration is required; the city says registration opens October 24 at 10 am.
