A holiday-season craft hour at the Encino Branch Library: children press their hand into clay to make a handprint keepsake that can be finished as an ornament or a magnet — a classic gift for grandparents. The library recommends the program for children ages 3–12; younger children will need a grown-up's help with pressing and shaping the clay. It takes place in the branch meeting room on a Wednesday afternoon in early December from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
