McKenna Children's Museum in New Braunfels is a hands-on museum built for young children to explore with all their senses. Exhibit areas include Hill Country Campgrounds, Lend-A-Hand Ranch, an aquarium, the Wonder Shop, a grocery store for pretend play, Destination Space, Amazing Airways, a Tot Spot for the youngest visitors, The Great Outdoors, Town Square and a Kids Clinic. Admission is $10 per person for adults and children 12 months and older. Every child must be accompanied by an adult 16 or older, and adults are admitted only with a child. The museum is open Monday through Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm, and closed Sundays and on major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
