On Halloween afternoon, Forest Hills Branch Library on Ingram Road screens a family-friendly spooky movie in its meeting room, promising nothing rated higher than PG. The idea is to settle the family in for a cool, relaxed couple of hours (3–5 pm) before heading out to trick-or-treat. Costumes and snacks are encouraged, so children can arrive already dressed for the evening. The library does not name the film in advance; it is listed for families rather than any single age group.
