Organizer
Texas Parks and Wildlife – Guadalupe River State Park

A family fishing morning on the Guadalupe River after Texas Parks and Wildlife's Inland Fisheries Division stocks rainbow trout. Anglers of all ages check in at the registration table at the bottom of the main day-use staircase, then fish from the bank below the Day Use parking lot between 9 am and noon. Bring a catch (or a photo of it) to the table to enter a prize drawing — you must be present to win — and first-time catchers get a certificate. A limited supply of loaner rods and tackle is available first come, first served. Bring water, sun protection, sturdy shoes and an ice chest if you plan to keep fish (limit five rainbow trout per person per day). A fishing license is not required to fish from the bank in the park. Free with park admission (adults $7, children 12 and under free); day-use reservations are highly recommended.
