About this adventure
Vista's Christmas parade, presented by the Vista Chamber of Commerce and the City of Vista, is the city's official kickoff to the holiday season and is now in its 68th year. The 2026 theme is Candyland Adventures, and the parade rolls through the downtown historical district on a Saturday afternoon. Parades like this are an easy outing for children of every age: bring a blanket or folding chairs, arrive early to claim a curbside spot along the route, and plan for street closures and limited parking downtown. The chamber's page publishes the route map; watching from the curb is free.
