About this adventure

The Old Globe's sixth annual sensory-friendly AXIS event fills the Craig Noel Garden with low-key holiday fun for neurodiverse children and their families on the morning of the theater's sensory-friendly Grinch performance. The two-hour gathering includes Grinch-inspired activities, an upbeat music performance by neurodiverse artists, and crafts led by expressive arts therapists, so children can settle in, move around and get comfortable at the theater campus before the show. Families attending the 10 a.m. sensory-friendly performance can come straight from the garden to their seats, and others can simply enjoy the morning activities. The Craig Noel Garden sits beside the Globe's theaters off El Prado in Balboa Park; allow time for parking, as Balboa Park lots charge fees.
