Part of San Mateo County Libraries' Winter Music Festival, this hour-long Saturday-afternoon concert at the Foster City Library features David Rocha Jazz. The group plays an eclectic mix drawn from more than 300 tunes – bossa nova, swing, jazz rock, Latin, jazz waltz, ballads and blues – with every solo improvised on the spot, which makes it a lively introduction to how jazz works for curious kids. The concert is listed for all ages, from preschoolers to adults.
