About this adventure
An Open Space Authority docent leads a three-hour morning bird walk at Ulistac Natural Area, an urban preserve along the Guadalupe River in Santa Clara. Flat, even dirt trails wind through native plants that shelter resident birds, migrants and waterfowl, which makes it an easy walk for families and beginning birders. Meet at the main entrance; parking is free along Lick Mill Blvd, and the nearest restroom is across the road at Lick Mill Park.
