About this adventure

Sunnyvale's Magical Bridge playground opened in 2022 in Fair Oaks Park, near the baseball fields. Magical Bridge playgrounds are built for the one in four people living with a physical, cognitive or sensory disability, and for everyone playing alongside them. Like the other Magical Bridge sites it skips loose wood chips and sand in favor of smooth surfacing, ramps and bridges, and groups play into zones for swinging, sliding and climbing, spinning, sensory play and imaginative play, with a separate tot area and quiet spots to step away from the action. The wooden play pieces are by Bay Area artist-builder Barbara Butler. Picnic spaces in the park can be reserved through the City of Sunnyvale.
