About this adventure
CMT San Jose's Rising Stars company, local performers ages 11 to 17, presents Matilda The Musical, with book by Dennis Kelly and music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, at the Montgomery Theater. Matilda Wormwood, a brilliant and brave girl, uses her wit and a touch of magic to stand up to the tyrannical Miss Trunchbull and find her place in the world. It is a good pick for elementary and middle-school audiences who know the Roald Dahl story. Two casts alternate across two weekends: CAKE (Nov 13 7pm, Nov 14 2pm, Nov 15 6pm, Nov 21 7pm, Nov 22 1pm) and NEWT (Nov 14 7pm, Nov 15 1pm, Nov 20 7pm, Nov 21 2pm).
