About this adventure
The San Jose Astronomical Association brings telescopes to Hidden Villa's dark hillside for a two-hour evening of viewing planets, stars and galaxies. Volunteers introduce the public to binoculars and telescopes, answer astronomy questions and show how to use and care for a scope; bring your own telescope or binoculars if you have them, and SJAA brings optical and electronic scopes to share. A good first stargazing night for curious school-age kids and teens; dress warmly for a December evening. If clouds, fog or weather spoil viewing, registrants will be told and the event rescheduled.
