About this adventure
My Very First Nutcracker is New Ballet's shortened, one-act version of The San Jose Nutcracker for toddlers, preschoolers and young children, running about 55 minutes at reduced prices. It covers the festive holiday party where Uncle Nikola reveals his gifts and the historic San Jose Electric Light Tower rises above the streets, but leaves out the second act (Clara's journey to the Valley of Heart's Delight). Before the show, the lobby has holiday decorations, organ music, costumed characters and photo spots, plus a play zone with DUPLO and soft-brick pits from LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area. All four 11 a.m. performances tend to sell out early.
