About this adventure

The San José Museum of Art on the Circle of Palms downtown shows modern and contemporary art, with rotating exhibitions such as the upcoming Irving Norman: Fight for Life. Children and teens 17 and under get in free, as do college students and teachers with ID, which makes it an easy cultural stop between the Tech Interactive and Christmas in the Park. Docent-led public tours meet in the lobby and welcome drop-ins on Thursdays at 2:30 pm and Friday–Sunday at 1 and 2:30 pm, and a free Bloomberg Connects audio guide can be downloaded. The museum's education pages have family video tutorials and make-art-at-home projects, and free community days and First Fridays (free admission after 6 pm) are held through the year. The café and store are open without a ticket.
