The Auburn Valley YMCA hosts a Halloween-eve family festival on Friday evening. Children can bounce and jump in a bounce house, test their skills at festive carnival games and take home a special goody bag. The two-hour indoor evening suits families with preschool and elementary-age children looking for a low-key alternative to a crowded downtown event. The YMCA of Greater Seattle's Fall Family Festivals are free and open to the whole community, not only members. Costumes are welcome, but adults may not wear masks or face coverings (except health-related ones), weapons and realistic weapon props are not allowed, and costumes should suit all ages.
