Imagine Children's Museum in Everett holds Sensory Time on the third Sunday of each month, before regular opening hours, for families of children on the autism spectrum, children with sensory processing disorders and children with other special needs. From 9 to 11 am these families get exclusive access to the north side of the museum, so children can play in a calmer, less crowded setting. Social stories, sound-reducing earmuffs, sunglasses and sensory balls are available to borrow. The program is free, but families must register in advance through the museum's inclusion page. Questions go to the museum's reservations team. The exhibits are designed for children ages 1 to 12.
