Once a month, Librarian Sharon from the Maple Valley Library leads families outdoors to read the current Story Walk book together along the path at Lake Wilderness Arboretum. Afterwards children can stay and play in the arboretum's Children's Forest. Meet at the Arboretum Information booth at 10:25 am and walk to the Story Walk together; dress for the weather. The walk is cancelled for unsafe conditions such as high winds, snow or poor air quality (updates on the library's Facebook page or at 425.432.4620). No registration is needed. Sponsored by the Maple Valley Library Guild and the Lake Wilderness Arboretum.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation

From the KCLS BiblioCommons gateway search API (gateway.bibliocommons.com/v2/libraries/kcls/events/search?q=..., read 2026-10-21), which returns the same data as the event page; branch street address from the API's location entity. Ages kept as the library's wording. KCLS event pages print no fee, so price is null. The event's location detail says 'We meet at Lake Wilderness Arboretum at the information booth. 22520 SE 248th St, Maple Valley, WA 98038.' Monthly on the 3rd Saturday through May 2027; only window dates listed.
