Organizer
Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium

Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium turns its grounds into a walk-through winter display of more than 1.5 million lights for the 39th year of Zoolights. Families stroll past light sculptures such as a giant Pacific octopus, the Narrows Bridges, the Flame Tree and a tunnel of lights, and can hunt for a hidden Sasquatch. Three of Thomas Dambo's giant troll sculptures (Boge, Poppy and Birch) are visible during the event and included with admission. The animals are asleep and the aquariums are closed in the evening, so families who want to see animals should come during the day. Timed online tickets are required (on sale October 19); children 2 and under are free, and Monday–Thursday nights before December 14 cost less. Closed December 24 and 25. Select Dog Nights let one adult bring a dog, and a sensory-friendly night with adjusted lighting and reduced music is planned for January 9.
