About this adventure
Downtown Dade City's evening Christmas parade, organized by the Pioneer Florida Museum & Village, rolls along 7th Street from MLK Boulevard to Church Street with lighted floats and entries built around a red-white-and-blue America 250 theme this year. Watching is always free. Spectators are invited, just for fun, to wear red, white and blue or light-up holiday clothing, and families who post a parade photo publicly on Facebook tagging the museum by December 6 are entered in a drawing for four free museum passes. After the parade, the museum runs a People's Choice vote (Best Use of Lights, Most Christmas Spirit and more), with the ballot link posted in November. The organizers ask families to plan a meeting place, keep children off the roadway and away from moving floats, bring glow sticks or flashlights, and leave pets at home.
