About this adventure
Children and their families can read to and spend time with trained therapy dogs from Hearts of Gold at the Clearwater Main Library downtown, during a Halloween-week Friday morning visit. Each family registers for a 30-minute time slot with the dogs, with fall and Halloween coloring pages to work on alongside. A new scavenger hunt on the library's second floor is open anytime without registration, so families can extend the visit. Gentle reading to a calm dog is a confidence boost for beginning and reluctant readers, and preschoolers enjoy the coloring. Two sessions are offered; registration closes the day before. Downtown parking information is linked from the event page.
